Canadian Tire opens stores in Quebec

May 4, 2007

Canadian Tire Corp. has opened 15 new stores in Quebec. The stores follow Canadian Tire's 20/20 format and represent a total investment of $59.6 million.

The new stores will enable Canadian Tire "to renew our store network so we can deliver a new shopping experience for our customers," says Mike Arnett, president of Canadian Tire Retail.

"Designed to increase retail sales by 20% on average, the new format stores are a key component of Canadian Tire Retail's growth strategy," say Canadian Tire officials.

The new format consists of a major facade re-design, as well as interior changes and enhanced signage.
