Toyo to increase medium truck tire prices

April 16, 2007

Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. will increase its dealer base price list up to 5% on all medium truck tires effective June 1.

Steve Weinger, senior vice president, sales and marketing, cited worldwide increases in raw materials, energy and transportation costs as the reason for the price hike.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. had previously announced that it will raise its commercial tire prices up to 5% on May 1. The Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brands are affected by the increase.

In addition, Goodyear raised its OTR tread rubber prices up to 5% on April 2.
