Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. plans to establish a technical center at its plant in Melksham, England.
The center "will be responsible for all elements of the design and development of products manufactured at Melksham, primarily high performance passenger vehicle tires in both the Cooper and Avon brands," say Cooper officials.
It will serve as the hub for Cooper's activities in Europe, they add.
