New logo reflects General's revival, says CTNA

Continental Tire North America Inc. says the new logo for its General brand reflects the label's revitalization. The logo was originally unveiled two weeks ago at CTNA's Gold Dealer meeting in San Antonio, Texas.

"The new elements represent our new branding message of progressive products that are technology-driven, with an emphasis on reliability," says Andreas Gerstenberger, executive vice president, PLT sales and marketing, for CTNA.

Continuing the 90-year tradition of General Tire, the new logo retains the color red and the "General Tire" wording.

"General Tire has historically been a cornerstone in the Continental portfolio, maintaining a prominent market share," says Tom Roydhouse, executive vice president of CTNA's CVT unit.
