Business has been booming for OTR reteaders, including Glasgow, Ky.-based B.R. Retreading, one of the country's largest retread producers.
The firm is retreading 95 OTR tires a day and plans to produce even more as the year goes on, says B.R. Retreading President Dennis Bull.
"We have a new Marangoni giant builder being installed, plus three new radial segmented molds being installed."
Bull adds that the company plans to expand its Glasgow retread plant by 4,000 square feet. The expansion is scheduled to begin within 60 days.
B.R. Retreading is the 11th largest retreader in the United States, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
