Intelligent Tire Technology conference opens with a bang on day one

The keynote speech at the second Intelligent Tire Technology conference will address "Analyzing the Current and Future Development of TPMS in the View of the OEM."

The conference, which focuses on issues related to tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), will be held at the Marriott Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, Mich., April 30-May 2, 2007.

Victor Underberg, manager of development stability managing systems, tire pressure monitoring systems, for Audi AG, is the keynote speaker. His topic will encompass a look at the field of application for direct and indirect tire pressure monitoring systems; understanding the technical applications of different systems; and the additional value they bring to both the customer and the OEM.

The keynote address will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1. Other speakers on day one of the conference include John Maxgay, lead engineer at General Motors Corp.; Kevin Rohlwing, senior vice president of training for the Tire Industry Association; Dr. Robert Benedict, senior research and development associate for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.'s vehicle systems division; and Carl Wacker, vice president of sales and marketing for Schrader Electronics Ltd.
