March 6, 2007

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for its 2007-2008 board of directors. TIA directors serve three-year terms and may be re-elected to serve two additional three-year terms.

"Any TIA member in good standing or an official representative of an association may recommend candidates to the nominating committee in accordance with the TIA bylaws," says Bob Malerba, TIA nominating committee chairman and immediate past president. "We also accept self-nominations."

All nominations should be submitted by April 20, 2007 by completing and returning the TIA board of directors nomination form to TIA's office in Bowie, Md.

The nomination form is located on the home page of TIA’s Web site, www.tireindustry.org, under "Hot News."

You also can request a form by calling TIA's office at (800) 876-8372, ext. 109 or sending an e-mail to [email protected].

"TIA is looking for members who are committed to the growth of the tire industry," says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

"Becoming a volunteer member is a major time commitment with conference calls and meetings throughout the year."
