Feb. 21, 2007

The third season of television's "Unique Whips" on the SPEED channel will be kicked off tonight, Feb. 21, with an episode featuring basketball star LeBron James' Hummer H2 and recording star 50 Cent's Lamborghini.

The show is shot on location at the Holbrook, N.Y., shop Unique Autosports. The shop is known for celebrity car customizing, taking entertainers' and athletes' luxury automobiles and turning them into "one-of-a-kind pieces of art," reports the show's Web site.

Shop owner Will Castro and his crew will customize the vehicles with new Pirelli tires, among other products. The Hummer H2 will be fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Zeros while the Lamborghini will ride on P Zero Rossos.

“We’ve expanded our crew and facilities to keep up with the demand and level of projects we are taking on,” says Castro.

The guest list for season three also feature sports stars Jermaine O’Neal, Al Harrington, Gary Sheffield, Andruw Jones, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Winky Wright, plus fashion designer Marc Ecko and actress Pamela Anderson.

Guy Mannino, president of Pirelli Tire North America, commented “We have had a long and fruitful partnership with Will and his team and enjoy the challenges that he gives us when it comes to tire fitments for his customers’ vehicles. He really pushes the envelope, always

looking for something special for his customers, and the success that he has enjoyed is thoroughly deserved. We are proud to be a part of his team."

The show airs at 10 p.m. EST.
