The severe shortage of large OTR tires will continue well into 2008, says Ulrich. Because of imports, however, domestic civilian large OTR tire shipments actually were up in 2006 compared to the previous year. Ulrich's comments are backed up by information from MTD's 2007 January Facts Issue, its 41st annual industry overview.
