Jan. 18, 2007

Yokohama Tire Corp. will supply a significant amount of tires for the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan as part of a new original equipment contract with the Chrysler Group.

According to Jeff Carpenter, Yokohama's director of OE sales and marketing, this is the company's first large-volume program for a United States manufacturer.

Yokohama will supply Chrysler with four tires sizes; they will be shipped from Yokohama's distribution center in Columbus, Ohio.

The minivans are newly designed for both the U.S. and world markets, says Carpenter. "We expect this to be the beginning of a long, fruitful relationship."

With the addition of the Chrysler Group tire program, Yokohama has original equipment on a wide range of 2007 vehicles, including the following imports: the Audi S8; Bentley's Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur; Lotus Elise and Exige; Porsche 911 Carrera 4; Lexus GS300 and GS430; Mazda MX-5; Suzuki Grand Vitara; Toyota RAV4; Mitsubishi Outlander; and Subaru Legacy and Forester.

Yokohama Tire Corp. is the North American manufacturing and marketing arm of Tokyo, Japan-based Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. For more information on Yokohama and its product line, visit www.yokohamatire.com.
