Reliable Tire Distributors recently wrapped up its year-long "Fabulous 50 Bridgestone Firestone Promotion" with the presentation of the Grand Prize -- a new 2007 GMC Yukon Denali.
The SUV, featuring 20-inch Bridgestone Dueler tires, was awarded to Philip Tortorich, district manager of NAPA Auto Parts in Houston, Texas.
On hand for the presentation of the Grand Prize were Pat Potter, Reliable Tire regional manager; Jimmie Hutto, Reliable Tire Houston branch manager, and Kelvin Taylor, key accounts national sales manager for Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC.
"This $50,000 SUV giveaway marks the culmination of an exciting year of great promotions designed to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary," says David Long, Reliable Tire's chief operating officer. "Giving away trucks and trips and prizes to dealers is not only a ton of fun, but makes great sense, since it is the independent tire dealer that made our 50 years the great success they have been."
A 17-year veteran with NAPA, Tortorich oversees more than 260 employees and 32 NAPA stores. Working with Reliable Tire's regional distribution center in Houston, NAPA Auto Parts has played a major role in the increased sale of Bridgestone and Firestone tires through its parts and tires inventory program with auto dealers.
In addition to the Grand Prize, one "First Place" prize and two "Second Place" prizes were awarded.
* The winner of the First Place prize, a trip for two to the 2007 Indianapolis 500, including airfare and hotel, was awarded to Paul Mooacones of Radial Tire in Silver Springs, Md.
* The Second Place prizes -- each a trip for two to the 2007 Firestone Indy 200 Nashville Race, including airfare and hotel -- were awarded to the owners of Mask Tire in Fayetteville, Ga., and Smart Tire in Bensalem, Penn.
The Fabulous 50 Promotion, one of two promotions celebrating Reliable Tire's 50th anniversary, began March 1, 2006. The company also held a second promotion in partnership with Continental Tire North America Inc.
As part of the "Golden Anniversary Promotion," eligible Reliable Tire retail and wholesale dealers earned prize points through the purchase of Continental or General tires.
