Community Wholesale Tire Inc. was the Medal of Honor sponsor for the Gateway Warrior Foundation’s recent golf tournament. The organization raises funds to support wounded service men and women.

Over $100,000 was donated to four foundations supported by this tournament: David Feherty’s Troops First Foundation, Helping A Hero, Wounded Warrior Project and St. Louis Fisher House, according to Phil Berra, president of Community Wholesale Tire.

Community Wholesale Tire raised $68,000 for the Gateway Warrior Foundation through tire company sponsorships, tire supplier support and customers who attended the event. Tire suppliers who contributed were:

Bridgestone and Bridgestone Golf Inc. sponsored the featured speaker, David Feherty, former professional golfer, broadcaster and author. Dan Gilyeat and John Wayne Walding, both retired military who lost limbs in Middle East conflicts, also made presentations.

“Community Wholesale Tire and the Berra family thanks our generous suppliers and customers, and our hardworking, dedicated employees who work as a team to make us a successful company that enables us to honor those who sacrificed so much for our country,” says Berra.
