Dealer supports Birdies for the Brave

Nov. 5, 2013

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Auto Spot Tire Pros will be celebrating Veterans Day by teaming up with Birdies for the Brave in support of military members and their families.

Birdies for the Brave is a national military outreach initiative supported by the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Tour. It was created in 2006 by player Phil Mickelson and his wife, Amy, to support combat-wounded veterans.

From November 8 through November 30, Auto Spot’s two Jacksonville locations will be inviting customers to make a donation of $1 or $5 at the register, and matching customer-donated funds up to $500. During the same time period, Auto Spot will also be increasing its standard 10% discount for military members and veterans to 20%.

Auto Spot Tire Pros has numerous family members who have served in the military and one veteran on the staff, reports owners Cami and John Mourao.

“As Americans, we all owe the brave men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families an enormous debt of gratitude,” says Cami Mourao. “Partnering with the Birdies for the Brave program makes a tremendous amount of sense, given our shared passion for supporting our military and our mutual admiration for all that these courageous heroes do to keep America free and safe. We look forward to continuing our more than 10-year tradition of supporting our troops and look forward to joining forces with our loyal customers on this and other military fundraising opportunities.”

Auto Spot Tire Pros offers tires and automotive services by ASE-certified technicians. Auto Spot is a part of the Tire Pros Francorp, a subsidiary of American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD). For more information, see www.autospottirepros.com and www.birdiesforthebrave.org.
