AAPEX adds session on healthcare reform

Oct. 14, 2013

The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) Learning Forum has added a session on healthcare reform to its lineup of topics. The 2013 AAPEX is set for Nov. 5-7 at the Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nev.

“Confused About Healthcare Reform? What Employers Need to Know” is scheduled for Nov. 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Speaker Kelly Davis, employee benefit specialist at the accounting firm CliftonLarsonAllen, will provide an overview of the law and focus on key issues that will impact companies and their employees.

The session will cover what employers need to do to comply with the new law, provide an update on recent changes or delays, explain how penalties and insurance exchanges will affect business, employer reporting requirements, and address what employers should be doing in 2014 to get ready for 2015.

With this information, employers can develop strategies to keep healthcare costs down to protect profit margins and ultimately grow their business. The session is offered at no cost and is recommended for all aftermarket audiences, including employers and employees.

This year’s Learning Forum will feature nearly 40 free sessions, the highest number ever offered at AAPEX. Sessions will begin on Monday, Nov. 4, the day before the official start of AAPEX, and continue through Nov. 7.
