KYB Americas will expand Indiana facility

KYB Americas Corp., a subsidiary of global shock, strut and hydraulic component manufacturer KYB Corp. announced the expansion of the KYB manufacturing facility in Franklin, Indiana.

The 45,900 square-foot expansion will house the latest in shock and strut assembly, machining and quality control equipment. The expansion underscores KYB Americas commitment to additional aftermarket production capacity in North America.

KYB says with its footprint in Indiana increasing, this expansion will create about 50 new jobs within the next three years, with needs ranging from skilled labor to engineers.

“We’re really excited about the expansion of our operations and manufacturing capabilities in the U.S.,” says KYB Americas vice president Mike Fiorito.

“This expansion is all a part of our continued growth plan. By increasing our manufacturing capacity in the U.S. and North America we will be able to more effectively serve our customers in the form of additional inventory and new product part numbers. Also, an additional benefit is, we’re bringing jobs to the U.S.A.”

KYB Corp. is a $4 billion global hydraulics manufacturer with 8,100 employees and sells its products in over 100 countries.
