Yokohama brings HR guru on board

Oct. 2, 2013

Yokohama Tire Corp. has hired Robert Harrelson as its new vice president of human resources and administration. He replaces Rex Simpson, who retired in September.

Harrelson (pictured at left) is responsible for the integration of human resources strategies, plans and programs across all of the company's North American operations.

Prior to joining Yokohama, Harrelson was a senior director of human resources for Dr Pepper Snapple Group in North America. He also has served as senior director of human resources-supply chain for United Parcel Service of America Inc.

“Rob brings many years of strategic senior-level leadership in the human resources field,” says Takayuki Hamaya, Yokohama's chief operating officer. “That can only serve to strengthen our company further as we recruit and retain talent, and create a highly positive work environment.”

Yokohama Tire Corp. is the North American manufacturing and marketing arm of Tokyo, Japan-based The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. For more information on Yokohama’s extensive product line, visit www.yokohamatire.com. To connect with Yokohama, check out these links:
