Omni United opens 1st U.S. distribution center

Sept. 30, 2013

Omni United USA Inc. expanded its North American footprint with the opening of its first tire distribution center in the U.S. The Fairfield, Calif., D/C has the capacity to store more than 60,000 tires; it will be used to store the company’s flagship tire brand, Radar.

"Radar Tire's new distribution center provides a much higher level of service to our customers throughout the United States,” says Scott Rhodes, Omni's vice president of North American sales. "It allows us to better serve the needs of our growing retail customers and distributors, accelerating time to market.”

Rhodes adds that the new facility "is an integral part of our plan for our continued growth and expansion of product offerings in the United States.”

For every Radar tire sold, Omni United will donate $5 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF); the company has pledged a minimum annual donation of $200,000 and a maximum donation of $250,000.

Dan and Diane Hennelly, owners of The Tire Choice, a 35-store retail chain based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are teaming with Omni United to raise money for the foundation. The Hennellys are Modern Tire Dealer's 2013 Tire Dealer of the Year.

"We at Omni-Radar believe that our company has a responsibility to the world beyond making a safe, durable, eco-friendly and attractive tire for our customers," says G.S. Sareen, CEO and president of Omni United USA's parent company, Omni United Pte. Ltd.

"We admire the BCRF's efficiency and relentless focus on funding the most cutting edge medical research to prevent and find a cure for breast cancer. We would like Radar tires to leave a different type of mark in the world."
