Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC's (BFNT) new Firestone FD835 On/Off-Highway medium truck tire is designed for severe service applications like logging and trash trucks.
"The FD835 is the first of a new generation of Firestone on/off-highway tires," say BFNT officials.
The tire has an aggressive block tread pattern for increased traction, angled sipes for wet surface handling, and an extra-deep open shoulder design for traction on soft surfaces like mud and snow.
"To enhance casing life, FD835 uses computer-designed groove shapes to help prevent trapped stones from pushing into the tread grooves and piercing the belt layer, which can damage belts and expose them to rust."
It is available in size 11R24.5, with an H load rating.
