Raybestos Brakes help Kenseth clinch a spot in the Chase

History repeated itself at Saturday’s Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Matt Kenseth gave it all he had and held off Kasey Kahne during the closing laps to secure the win.

Just as he did in March in Las Vegas and again in April at Kansas… Kenseth won a heated battle with Kahne and drove his No. 20 Dollar General Toyota to victory lane under the stopping power of Raybestos brakes.

The victory was Kenseth’s fifth of the year and it guaranteed the driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota at least a Wild Card spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

“We held the lead through multiple restarts but, at the end, we knew we were running low on fuel and we were racing on old tires,” said Jason Ratcliff, Crew Chief of Kenseth’s No. 20 Dollar General Toyota. “Kahne pulled alongside or nosed ahead of a few times during those closing laps, but Matt was able to navigate his way through the challenge and held him off.

The Raybestos Racing brake package, used by NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs Racing, combines ample stopping power with a considerable weight savings advantage on short tracks like the Bristol Motor Speedway’s .533-Mile Oval.
