Updated TPMS guide from Mitchell 1 includes 2008 model-year vehicles

June 18, 2008

Mitchell 1's updated "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems Guide" is now available, with information on 339 new 2008 models/systems. The 784-page guide also contains updates on previously covered models.

Starting with the 2008 models, tire pressure monitoring systems are now mandatory on all passenger vehicles and light trucks. "This guide is used as a quick reference guide for shops that change or rotate tires, or install wheels," says Dan Kelley, director of strategic partnerships for Mitchell 1.

(Mitchell 1 provides complete coverage of the systems in its On-Demand5 Repair product.)

The guide covers any domestic and imported vehicle that comes equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) through the 2008 model year. It also includes a quick reference table designed to provide a single point of reference for special precautions during the dismounting/mounting of tires.
