ITDG debuts new Web site

The Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC (ITDG) has redesigned its Web site and introduced a new domain name --

The original Web site and domain name ( will remain online for a short time, the company says, but visitors will be pointed to the new site in the near future.

The new domain name is straightforward, simple to remember and befitting the groups’ recent growth into new geographies, says ITDG.

Ed Long, vice president of sales and marketing for ITDG, feels the new site will assist in marketing the group program to new member prospects as well as assist current members with new behind-the-scene Web tools.

Long says, “We worked very closely with 50 Below, our approved Web design vendor, to update the look and feel of the site. As we continue to grow and move into new geographies, we think a new domain name should help explain who we are and where our members are located.

“We have new members in the south central and southeastern section of the U.S. We are more than a regional program –- and our new domain name states that. The ITDG program is one of the most flexible buying programs an independent tire dealer can participate in today. The flexibility of the program allows the dealer to choose which vendors and suppliers fit their business model versus fitting into someone else’s idea of a business model. The program works... and it works for just about any type of tire dealer out there.”

The ITDG is completing its fifth year in a row of record sales and profits, it reports. It has 110 members representing over 300 tire and service center locations in the U.S.
