Team Falken’s Justin Pawlak takes second at ‘New Jersey Gauntlet’

June 24, 2013

Team Falken Driver Justin Pawlak, fielding his Falken teal and blue-liveried 2013 Ford Mustang GT, put up an excellent fight during Round 4 of the 2013 Formula Drift Championship, but came home in second place, losing in the Finals to Daigo Saito at New Jersey’s Wall Speedway.

Team Falken teammate Darren McNamara qualified second and took fourth. Pawlak currently sits in fifth place in the championship rankings, with McNamara 7th, and their Falken teammate Daijiro Toshihara in 9th.

“We have three more events this season at tracks where Team Falken has always done well, and I’m confident we will be there at the final event in Irwindale [CA] contending for the 2013 Driver’s Championship,” stated Jonathon Bradford, Team Falken’s Drift Supervisor.

“Every podium is important,” added Nick Fousekis, Falken’s Director of Motorsports and Consumer Events.  “Team Falken appreciates the support of our dedicated team members who got us here, along with our shops, RTS and SPD.  We also couldn’t do this without our retail partners, who numbered more than 360 at Wall Speedway, and our fans.”

Team Falken will travel next to Monroe, WA for the “Throwdown,” when Formula D visits Evergreen Speedway, July 19-20.
