TBC Retail Group announces promotions and restructuring

TBC Corp. has made a number of management changes at its TBC Retail Group as the company continues to restructure its business operation (see "TBC reorganizes, promotes Wolford and Olsen," April 2, 2008).

The TBC retail operating group encompasses company-owned Tire Kingdom Inc., National Tire & Battery, and Merchant's stores, plus the Big O Tires Inc. network.

"These restructuring initiatives have consolidated our company's operational functions to provide the TBC Retail Group with one support organization across all retail brands, improving efficiencies and helping us to focus on driving sales and profitability," says CEO and President Orland Wolford.

The promotions include the following. All will report directly to Wolford.

* Mike Kinnen was promoted to vice president of operations for Big O Tires. He was formerly vice president, franchise finance.

* Bob Crostarosa was promoted to senior vice president of marketing for the retail group. He was formerly vice president of marketing for Tire Kingdom.

* Charlie Zacharias was promoted to senior vice president of real estate and distribution for the retail group. He was formerly vice president of real estate and distribution for Tire Kingdom.

* James Rowe was promoted to senior vice president of purchasing/inventory control for the retail group. He was formerly vice president of purchasing/inventory control for Tire Kingdom.

* Dave Moyer was promoted to senior vice president of consumer affairs and regulatory compliance for the retail group. He was formerly vice president of consumer affairs and regulatory compliance for Tire Kingdom.

* Lynn Parker was promoted to senior vice president of purchasing non-tire products for the retail group.

* Greg Ortega was promoted to vice president of retail marketing and merchandising for the retail group. He was formerly vice president of retail marketing and merchandising for Tire Kingdom.

* Frank Setteducate was promoted to senior director of financial planning and analysis for the retail group. He was formerly director of financial planning and analysis for Tire Kingdom.

* Pati Pressler was promoted to director of training and organizational development for the retail group. She was formerly director of leadership, excellence and learning for Tire Kingdom.

In another move, Greg Dieffenbach was hired as vice president of human resources for the retail group.

Bill Ihnken, executive vice president and chief operating officer of TBC Retail Stores Group, and Kevin Kormondy, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Big O Tires, will continue to report directly to Wolford.
