Bosch adds 30 new Coil-on-Plug Boots

May 20, 2013

Robert Bosch LLC has added 30 part numbers to its existing line of Coil-on-Plug (COP) Boots that now cover 21 million vehicles in operation in the United States and Canada.

They are a direct-fit replacement for vehicles which are now equipped with a direct ignition system. The new part numbers cover a variety of Domestic, Asian and European vehicles, including Chrysler, Ford, GM, Ford, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Volvo and BMW.

“What distinguishes Bosch as a manufacturer of aftermarket products is our in-depth experience with the OEMs,” says Timo Reif, vice president of automotive marketing for Robert Bosch LLC.

“Many of our aftermarket parts are built on the same production lines and meet our OEM engineering standards for form, fit and function. Bosch coil on plug boots, too, are manufactured to provide our customers with the highest quality and reliability.”

With an increasing number of vehicles utilizing this technology, Bosch has added these part numbers in anticipation of a growing demand. Bosch recommends replacing the ignition coil boots with any spark plug replacement (where applicable) to ensure optimal vehicle performance and proper connectivity from the ignition coil to the spark plug.
