Ready to go: the 25th biennial Autopromotec

May 20, 2013

The 2013 International Biennal Exhibition of Automotive Equipment and Aftermarket Products -- otherwise known as Autopromotec -- is ready to welcome visitors. The trade fair will open its doors in Bologna, Italy, on Wednesday, May 22nd.

With 1,512 exhibitors from 52 countries, the 25th edition already has set a record for exhibitors.

"In spite of current market difficulties, Autopromotec 2013 promises to be extremely vibrant and confirms itself as the most popular odd-numbered year European exhibition, with a record-breaking number of exhibitors and the largest exhibition space ever, respectively," say event organizers. The 1,512 exhibitors will take up 156,000 square meters of space (more than 1.6 million square feet); 20,000 square meters (215,278 square feet) of the total is outdoors.

A total of 584 companies -- 39% of the exhibitors -- come from outside Italy, with Germany, China, the United States, France and Spain the most represented countries. That is up 7.5% compared to 2011.

"There is every reason to believe that this year, the record in terms of number of foreign visitors will also be broken," add the organizers.

All the merchandise sectors are represented in Bologna.

Indoor: Halls 16, 18 and 21 are dedicated to spare parts, components and car servicing. Halls 19, 20 and 22 are dedicated to tires and related equipment. Halls 25 and 26 are dedicated to bodywork equipment and products. Hall 29 is dedicated to workshop tools and lifting equipment. Hall 36 is dedicated to tools, compressors, car care and service areas.

Outdoor: Area 48 is dedicated to the car wash sector, and Area 45 hosts the breakdown rescue vehicle sector.

The new exhibition areas in Halls 14 and 15, never used by Autopromotec before and dedicated to the diagnosis compartment, feature a "Diagnostic Hub."

Area 44, dedicated to industrial vehicle service, focuses on services for the maintenance and repair of trucks and special equipment. It also hosts the main players of the commercial and industrial vehicle assistance sector.

This year's AutopromotecEDU has 26 events that cover all articulated areas of interest for the repair world. AutopromotecEDU occupies a large area of Hall 30, where two elegant rooms will host the conferences organized during the five days of the Bologna exhibition -- May 22-26.
