The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) has added to members to its board of directors following the scheduled end of the terms for two existing board members.
The new board members are:
1. Mel Mitchell, vice president of manufacturing, Colony Tire Corp.
2. Ken Samborsky, OTR plant operation coordinator, Kal Tire.
"Mel and Ken are two great additions to our board and further round out a 16-strong board that fully represents the retread and repair industries," says TRIB President Brian Hayes.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Bob Majewski and Garry Heintschel for their dedication and service to the TRIB board over the years."
Majewski, president of the AcuTread Alliance Group and Sumerel Tire Service Inc. in Newport, Ky., is a former TRIB president. Heintschel is president of Heintschel Tire & Service in Texarkana, Texas.
