The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has added a tour date in Rochester, N.Y., to its 2013 Certified Automotive Training Service (ATS) Instructor Training Tour.
The latest training will take place August 13-16, 2013, at Monroe Community College, Applied Technologies Center, 2485 West Henrietta Road in Rochester.
TIA has confirmed the following dates for the tour:
* April 30-May 3 - Los Angeles;
* June 25-28 - Pittsburgh;
* May 7-10 - Boston;
* May 21-24 - Toledo, Ohio;
* July 9-11 - Seattle;
* Aug. 13-16 – Rochester, N.Y.;
* Nov. 12-15 - Jacksonville, Fla.; and
* Nov. 12-15 – Houston.
The Certified ATS Instructor Program is a four-day in-depth classroom and hands-on class that industry professionals must successfully complete in order to return to the dealership(s) to train technicians to prepare them for certification. TIA has used the train-the-trainer approach to train and/or certify more than 70,000 technicians since 1997.
