The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced that TIA board of directors secretary, Freda Pratt-Boyer, was recently awarded the "President's Cup" Award at the annual Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. Managers Conference.
Each year, during the last night of the conference, Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. hosts an awards banquet to recognize the top managers in each of their divisions. From time to time, the company also honors someone who continually goes beyond the call of duty, with the "President's Cup" award.
Pratt-Boyer has been with Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. since 1972 and now holds the position of Senior Auditor. In addition to serving on the TIA board, she is the vice-president of the Missouri Tire Dealers Association (MTDA). In 2015, Pratt-Boyer will become president of the TIA board.
"Freda is very deserving of this award. She has given so much to Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. and to the industry. She is a true leader and an inspiration to those who have the pleasure to work with her," says TIA executive vice president Roy Littlefield.
Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. is number 13 on the 2012 MTD Top 100 Independent Tire Dealer Chains in U.S. list.
