ITDG will distribute Diamondback brand in the U.S.

The Independent Tire Dealers Group has announced the exclusive distribution and marketing of the Diamondback passenger and light truck brand of tires in the United States. The announcement was made during ITDG’s 2013 annual meeting and trade show in Desert Springs, Calif.

The buying group is working in concert with Husky Tire of San Antonio, Texas, which provides logistical support expertise.

"After another record year in group purchases of over $170 million, volume-bonus/dividend payments of $6.2 million and now over 400 points of sale in 31 states -- ITDG has the ability to take on the requirements necessary to commit to an exclusive line of tires," says Ed Long, ITDG VP of sales and marketing.

"We've had great success in growing our business by adding new members in new geographies over the past several years. Independent dealers gravitate towards programs that are transparent and straightforward. ITDG has very little overhead to operate the group....everything is pushed back out to the dealer with upfront competitive buying programs and bonuses at the end of the year.”

Long says the exclusive Diamondback brand program will enable the group to further penetrate existing markets and expand into new markets that may have been more difficult in the past due to brand conflicts.

The Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC (ITDG) is comprised of over 400 points of sale in 31 states with estimated member sales of over $1.0 billion. Group offices are located in Tequesta, Florida.
