Tire Discounters to sell Pirelli tires

April 3, 2013

Tire Discounters Inc. announced it will sell Pirelli tires at all 81 retail locations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company will carry 15 sizes of Pirelli’s new Cinturato P7 All Season Plus line, which includes a 70k warranty.

The Cinturato was designed for the North American luxury touring market in a range of new environmentally friendly tires suitable for cars ranging from city to high performance SUVs. They save fuel, last longer, and reduce both CO2 emissions and noise level, according to the company. The Cinturato P7’s exclusive tread pattern “harnesses” the elements, while providing longer wear and improved fuel economy.

Additional benefits of the Cinturato P7 All Season Tire include:

* 15% reduction in rolling resistance;

* 14% shorter stopping distance in wet conditions;

* 47% better tread wear for longer tire life;

* 5% reduction in road noise for a quieter ride; and

* 6% less raw materials used in production for a greener tire.

“Tire Discounters is a premium retailer which fits perfectly with our marketing strategy and premium product lines. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with them," said Riccardo Cichi, senior vice president replacement sales for Pirelli Tire North America.

More than 120 versions of original equipment Pirelli tires for all late model Audi, BMW, Chevy, Ford, Mercedes, Porsche, VW and Volvo automobiles will be stocked. Each store will receive a tire delivery six days a week.

"Providing our customers Pirelli products enables us to supply them customized tires with maximum performance," says Jamie Ward, executive vice president of Tire Discounters.
