Federal ramps up brand recognition in Malaysia
Federal Corp. recently announced the appointment of Rito Marketing as its exclusive tire distributor in Malaysia.
Rito Marketing, based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, will help Federal's efforts to grow the sport of drifting in the country. It also will help raise awareness of the Federal brand.
The company was actively involved in the Federal Tyres Pro AM Drift Series 2013 at the recent Speed City KL in Malaysia. The drift series is a "driver development" series for the prestigious Formula Drift Asia Series.
The battle was intense throughout the event, starting with the qualifying session. Mervyn Nakamura led the pack with a score of 78 points among the qualifiers. His FD3s, equipped with Federal RS-R tires, carried him to first place finish in round two.
“We would like to congratulate all the teams from not only Malaysia and Singapore, even from Pakistan for making it a successful event," said Jerry Lai, Asia sales executive in Federal's Global Sales Division. "Rito Marketing is a firm with an excellent reputation, and we are sure they will be a first-rate ambassador in Malaysia for the Federal brand, as we hope our local customers will benefit from our product expertise and Rito’s market knowledge.
“To support the expanded relationship with Federal Tyres, Rito Marketing expects to add to its sales team in the local market. Such initiative underlines the continued commitment to well supply a further comprehensive motorports product line such as the FZ201 semi-slick racing tire, as well as another flagship, 595 RPM asymmetric sport tire, in the future."
The third round of the competition will be held on May 11.
The exclusive agreement with Rito Marketing follows on the heels of Federal's strategic partnership with East Terminal, the exclusive distributor of Federal's full-range of products in Russia.
"Federal specializes in high-end tires, and it fits in perfectly to provide key performance sizes at an attractive price point," says East Terminal.
