The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) has announced three new members of its board of trustees for 2013. They are:
* Geralynn Kottschade of Jerry’s Body Shop in Mankato, Minn.;
* Bill Maggs, president of National Pronto in Grapevine, Texas; and
*Chris Wallace technical training integration manager for General Motors in Warren, Mich.
“We are delighted to have such dedicated individuals as Geralyn, Bill and Chris among our trustees,” said Trish Serratore, NATEF president. “Their knowledge and involvement within the industry brings much to the NATEF mission of helping to provide tomorrow’s technicians through our program accreditation.”
“NATEF’s success depends greatly on the guidance, knowledge and counsel of our officers and board of trustees,” Serratore said. “We thank these dedicated individuals for helping us meet the educational needs of our industry and are grateful for their service and the support of their respective companies in helping to ensure the supply of qualified, entry-level automotive professionals well into the future.”
NATEF was founded in 1983 as an independent, non-profit organization with a single mission: To evaluate technician training programs against standards developed by the automotive industry and recommend qualifying programs for NATEF accreditation.
