American Tire Corp. announces plans to branch out

June 2, 2008

American Tire Corp. (ATC) plans to further its strategy of controlled distribution by buying large gold and copper mines in the United States.

"Many gold and copper mines operate dump trucks with 57-inch and 63-inch giant OTR tires, which are American Tire Corp.'s primary product to supply," says the company.

According to the plan, ATC will supply its own tires to any ATC-purchased mines "to maximize the capacity of mining production."
