New vice president of marketing at Bridgestone

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (BATO) has named Matthew Stevenson vice president of marketing for its commercial tire division. The appointment was effective March 1, 2013.

“Matthew brings extensive experience building strong relationships with customers in the commercial vehicle industry,” said Philip Dobbs, chief marketing officer. “I am excited to have him on board to help us elevate awareness of the needs of our customers, and help us in meeting those needs.”

Stevenson has an extensive background in marketing for commercial vehicle and component companies, including his most recent position as general manager of North American field operations and marketing for Meritor, Inc., a Fortune 500 company that manufactures drivetrain components for commercial vehicles.

Before joining Meritor in 2010, Matthew spent 10 years at Daimler Trucks North America, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing. Additionally, Matthew also held the position of chief operations officer for Daimler’s Mitsubishi Fuso division.
