Wal-Mart begins tire advertising push(?!)

March 7, 2013

Wal-Mart has started to advertise tires more regularly. And unlike Sears Holdings Corp., Wal-Mart's advertising includes prices.

This is a new direction for Wal-Mart, which has more than 3,700 tire-selling outlets in the United States.

What tire brands are the company advertising? To find out, read Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich's latest bog, "It's official! Wal-Mart advertises tire prices."

As you might guess, the prices seem pretty low, and are backed by Wal-Mart's "low price guarantee," which matches prices on identical products in any other ad.

What do you think of Wal-Mart advertising tires? Are your prices that low? Is Wal-Mart a strong competitor in your area? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment!
