Toyo Tires continues sponsorship of The Cadillac Challenge in 2013

Feb. 26, 2013

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has renewed their title sponsorship of The Cadillac Challenge for the 2013 race season.  In addition to being the title sponsor, Toyo Tires, will award the winner of each event a set of Toyo Proxes R888 DOT competition tires.

The Cadillac Challenge is the first and only race series designed exclusively for Cadillac automobiles. The Cadillac Challenge Race Series features 11 events throughout 2013 spanning iconic race tracks such as Laguna Seca, Infineon Raceway, California Speedway, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, Buttonwillow Raceway, Willow Springs Raceway, Spring Mountain Motorsport Ranch and Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“We are very excited to continue as the title sponsor of the Cadillac Challenge,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “It is a great series that offers Cadillac drivers competitive racing and showcases the performance of our competition tires.”

Toyo Tires offers several competition products including the Toyo Proxes R888 and the Toyo Proxes RS1 full-slick competition tire.  The Toyo Proxes R888 provides improved dry performance on the track while maintaining wet traction and control. Proxes R888-equipped cars have won races in professional and amateur road racing, time attack competition and autocross, and are favored by many Cadillac drivers that are looking to utilize an R-Compound tire.

The Proxes RS1 provides consistent performance throughout its life.  Excelling in handling, durability and high-speed stability, it will be used by drivers in the C3 Unlimited Class during the 2013 Cadillac Challenge.

The Cadillac Challenge Race Series kicked off this past weekend at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana and will run through December. For more information on registering and upcoming race dates please visit www.CadillacRace.com.
