Hankook opens new warehouse in England

Feb. 8, 2013

Hankook Tire UK Ltd. has opened a new 150,000-square-foot warehouse in Daventry, England.

Continued increase in market share in Britain led to the need for an additional stock-holding facility, according to the company.

“The increase in capacity will allow us to improve the service and supply to our highly valued customers," says Tony Lee, managing director at the UK subsidiary of Hankook Tire Co. Ltd.

To help celebrate the expansion, the Princess Anne joined Hankook employees to officially open the new warehouse on Feb. 7, 2013.

The princess is a patron of Transaid, an international development agency that aims to reduce poverty by improving transportation in developing nations. Hankook is a Transaid supporter.
