Yokohama Rubber helps earthquake victims in China with yen

Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. has earmarked 10 million yen (more than $96,000) to help Situan Province earthquake victims and contribute to the soonest possible reconstruction of the affected area. The money will be distributed through the Chinese Red Cross Society.

Yokohama's Chinese subsidiaries already have donated 500,000 yuan (approximately 7.5 million yen) to the cause. In addition, 140,110 yuan (approximately 2.1 million yen) has been donated by employees of the subsidiaries.

In China, the Yokohama Rubber Group operates seven companies.
