The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has added two dates for the 2013 Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Instructor Tour.
The new dates are:
* May 7-10 - Boston; and
* July 9-11 - Seattle.
TIA has confirmed six other dates for the Tour:
* February 12-15 - St. Louis;
* March 5-8 - Ghent, W. Va.;
* March 19-22 - Phoenix;
* March 26-29 - Charlotte, N.C.; and
* November 12-15 - Jacksonville, Fla.
The other nine cities TIA where will hold the ATS Tour classes are: Toledo, Ohio; Los Angeles; Rochester, N.Y; Pittsburgh; Milwaukee; Tampa, Fla.; Oklahoma City; Minneapolis; and Houston.
TIA says it is finalizing the dates for the remaining cities and will release them as they become available. "Our goal is to have all of the dates confirmed by the end of the second quarter. Since the hands-on component is so important, we have to make sure there will be lab space available during the class,” says Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training.
The four-day, in-depth, hands-on training classes will be conducted around the United States with the goal of educating tire retailers on the proper safety procedures and guidelines for servicing passenger and light truck tire and wheel assemblies (see TIA ATS tour certifies trainers nationwide.)
