Belle Tire will refurbish 85 Michigan, Ohio stores

Jan. 23, 2013

Belle Tire Distributors Inc. says it has committed to remodel each of its 85+ retail locations in Michigan and northwestern Ohio.

The tire dealer has partnered with retail design firm JGA Inc. of Southfield, Mich., to carefully develop a new design plan for its consumer waiting and show room areas in both its existing and new stores.

Belle’s goal was to try to find a balance in the consumer retail space between design, function and comfort while working within the unique constraints of the tire and auto business. The enhancements in the new design include:

  • sales pods in lieu of a large counter in an effort to create a more casual and conversational experience between the customer and Belle Tire team members;
  • a business bar where customers can relax, enjoy a beverage or a snack and surf the web on free Wi-Fi while they wait; and
  • All new merchandising displays including floor-to-ceiling wheel racks and tire racks presented in a 3 tier display based on value.

“Belle Tire is continuing our commitment to exceed customer expectations by providing value without sacrificing quality,” says Vice President of Retail Operations, Don Barnes III. “Our store redesigns are a reflection of the value we place on our customer’s time and their relationship with the Belle Tire brand.”

In 2012, six existing Belle Tire locations received the upgrade with another 10-12 expected to undergo renovations in 2013.

Belle Tire is No. 9 on the 2012 MTD 100 list.
