May 23, 2008

Effective July 1, 2008, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. will increase pricing on its passenger, light truck and truck tires. The increases will vary up to 8%.

"Rapidly escalating petroleum costs have affected both the cost of manufacturing and the transportation of both materials and products," says Steve Weinger, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

"Toyo continues to do everything in our power to keep increases minimal while still providing a premium product for our valued customer."

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Continental Tire North America Inc., Michelin North America Inc., Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Falken Tire Corp., Federal Tire Corp. and Hankook Tire America Corp. also have announced price increases since April 30.
