Hankook Tire Co. Ltd., the Seoul, South Korea-based parent company of Hankook Tire America Corp., has unveiled plans for construction of the company’s new, high-tech central R&D facility in Daejeon, South Korea.

London-based architectural firm Foster+Partners is in charge of the design of the building’s interior and exterior. The firm is known for its high-tech, future-oriented architectural designs and glass-and-steel buildings.

Hankook Tire’s new R&D center is projected to be equipped with the high-tech, future-oriented facilities, such as a seven-story tire auto-stacking system and smart information system.
