Direct Tire & Auto Service in Watertown, Mass., already had a website. And CEO Barry Steinberg was happy with it.

"Our old site was very cool with some very advanced features," he says.

It wasn't up-to-date enough for Steinberg, however. So the Jan. 7, 2013, launch of his new website is a relief to him.

"I like the modern look," he says. "I think this new one is definitely in the 21st century."

The website emphasizes the conpany's tagline front and center: "We'll brake, shock and exhaust you!" it says as part of a slideshow on the homepage.

Thanks to the user-friendly layout, visitors can search for tires, schedule service and check -- and print out -- the latest coupons. And tabs to the dealership's four locations make it easy to contact the store nearest you.

Known for his innovative business practices, Steinberg was Modern Tire Dealer's first Tire Dealer of the Year in 1993. He was elected into the New England Tire and Service Association Hall of Fame in 2011.
