Marangoni North America receives award

Marangoni Tread North America Inc. has been awarded the President’s Award from its parent company for 2012 based on excellence in performance in sales, manufacturing and market development.

“2012 has been a terrific year for Marangoni Tread North America, and with this award, it shows to the entire organization what can be accomplished when they all execute their plan and everyone does their part. Congratulations to everyone,” said Massimo De Alessandri, Marangoni SpA's CEO, at the presentation ceremony.

He went on to say that the accomplishments in the following categories sealed the President's Award for Marangoni Tread North America.

1. Sales: increased unit tread sales 15% over 2011.

2. Market development: added two Ringtread dealers and 12 additional Unitread for a total of 42 Marangoni authorized retreaders; introduced the Performance Specific Ringtread line, which includes the Energeco line for fuel economy, RDG 100 for high mileage and superior traction and the RDA One and RTA One line for wide base tires.

3. Manufacturing: successfully increased manufacturing installed capacity to exceed capacity of 1.2 million treads per year; achieved all goals for quality excellence; achieved the highest standard for safety in the workplace.

"The introduction and success of Unitread into the U.S. market has been very gratifying, greatly increasing Marangoni’s presence and strength in this important market,” said Giuseppe Ferrari, managing director of Marangoni SpA's Retreading Systems Division.

Bill Sweatman, CEO and president and CEO of Marangoni Tread North America, thanked De Alessandri, Ferrari and the Marangoni SpA board of directors for their continued investment and support. He also acknowledged the employees for their great effort, as well as Marangoni customers for their loyal support and great efforts in increasing Marangoni’s market share and market strength.
