American Tire Corp. donates to China earthquake relief effort

American Tire Corp. (ATC) has donated $15,000 to the World Hongming Foundation's Earthquake Relief & Reconstruction Fund in the wake of the massive earthquake affecting China.

The magnitude 7.9 earthquake took place on May 12, 2008. To date, more than 20,000 people are dead, and nearly 30,000 people remain buried in collapsed buildings. The earthquake also has left millions of people homeless.

Established in 2002, World Hongming Foundation is an IRS-approved nonprofit, public-benefit, charitable foundation organized under the Section 501(c)(3), Internal Revenue Code. For more information, visit the foundation's Web site at www.whmf.us.
