Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. (MRTI) has expanded the retread offerings for Michelin North America Inc.'s X One wide-base truck tire by introducing the Michelin X One XZU Pre-Mold tread.
"The X One XZU S tire has become a very popular tire in the urban and regional applications, especially for refuse vehicles," says MRTI Director Tom Brennan. "Fleets have seen the advantages of X One tires and can now take full advantage of the X One XZU S retread to further reduce their operating costs."
The retread is available in size 390/430, according to Michelin officials. It's designed for all-weather traction, ehannced protection against stone drilling thanks to variable pitch groove walls, and other features, including Michelin's Co-EX technology, a two-layer compound designed to minimize casing heat build-up for longer life.
