Rado to run Continental tires in Redline Time Attach Series

Nov. 12, 2009

Veteran racer Chris Rado of WORLD Racing will campaign his Scion tC on Continental tires during the upcoming Superlap Battle finals, as well as in the Unlimited FWD class of the Redline Time Attack Series.

Rado is debuting new Continental tires, the result of a new strategic alliance between Continental Tire and Hoosier Racing Tire.

“We’ve worked long and hard to bring this alliance with Hoosier Racing Tire to fruition,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing, Continental Tire. “The combination of Continental’s expertise is in performance street tires, and Hoosier’s industry-leading technology in race tire development will be hard to beat.  And putting a proven winner like Rado on our tires will make him a force to be reckoned with.”

The new partnership aligns Continental and Hoosier as strategic partners for advanced performance solutions and motorsports integration, including collaborative marketing, product development and implementation process.  Both companies will invest substantially into resources for the marketing, business development and delivery of specific products.

The Super Lap Battle Series is a time trial-based showcase of the fastest cars from U.S. Japanese and European tuners, and is "a perfect series" to show off the ultra-high performance of these new tires, said Bob Liu, technical product manager, Continental Tire.
