All 20 sizes of the Toyo Extensa HP are now available, according to Steve Hutchinson, vice president of marketing for Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. The Extensa HP is Toyo's first entry-level high performance tire.
The all-season tire was officially introduced in early August. It contains a variety of features, including Toyo's Silent Wall technology for a quiet ride; the company's proprietary T-mode technology, which optimizes performance and ride comfort; four wide circumferential grooves for traction; interlocking tread blocks for enhanced stability; and others, according to Toyo officials.
"Toyo has always been strong in high performance," Hutchinson told www.moderntiredealer.com. "We have not been tempted to play in the entry-level high performance category until the Extensa HP."
The HP is the second addition to Toyo's Extensa passenger tire line, which also includes the Extensa A/S. The line "has been very well-received by our dealers. In the case of the A/S, it's been overwhelming."
