Foree follows family traditions for 35 years

Aug. 17, 2009

Denver-based Foree Tire Distributors is celebrating its 35th year in business -- and moving ahead to its 36th.

A lot has happened since 1974, when the wholesale tire distributor was founded by Jerry Thomas, a businessman remembered for initially closing business transactions with only a handshake.

In its humble beginnings, Foree housed its inventory in an estimated 5,000 square feet of warehouse space and carried only one tire brand. Today, it boasts 130,000 square feet of warehouse space and carries more than 10 brands of tires and four brands of wheels.

"My dad started this business with a goal to provide area tire dealers with quality tires at affordable prices,” says Arnold Thomas, co-owner (with his brother, Whitney) and vice president of sales. “I attribute our success to continuing to do business with my dad’s philosophy in mind, as well as top customer service and an evolving product mix.”"

Foree Tire Distributors has warehouses in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gering, Neb. Plans call for continued expansion and following in the family tradition of "providing quality products and premier customer service to customers."

Foree Tire Distributors provides tires, wheels, chains and tire equipment to retail stores, and provides local and out-of-state deliveries to customers in the Rocky Mountain Region. For more information, visit www.foreetire.com.
