BATO expands Blizzak line with two new tires

July 21, 2009

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (BATO) is adding two new tires to its Bridgestone Blizzak winter tire line: the Blizzak DM-V1 and the Blizzak LM-60.

The DM-V1 will be available in 46 R-rated sizes, ranging from 15 inches to 22 inches in diameter with an aspect ratio range of 75-Series to 45-Series. The tire replaces the Blizzak DM-Z3 and contains Bridgestone's proprietary Nano-Pro-Tech rubber compound and Multicell technology.

The LM-60 will be available in 34 H-rated sizes, ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches in diameter. Aspect ratios range from 60-Series to 35-Series. The LM-60 "consolidates existing Blizzak tires into one H-rated line," say BATO officials. "This consolidation includes the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-18, LM-22 and the LM-25."

"Last winter was brutal for many parts of the U.S. and Canada," says John Baratta, president, Repacement Tire Sales, U.S. and Canada Consumer Tire Sales division, BATO. "By expanding the Bridgestone Blizzak line with these new products, we're making it possible for more drivers to equip their vehicles with a dedicated winter tire."
